Customer relationship management (CRM) software data migration

Stop Abuse Campaign

The Mission

The Stop Abuse Campaign prevents childhood trauma, known as Adverse Childhood Experiences or ACEs, through evidence-based research, public policy, and public education.

The Situation

To better support its mission and operations, the Stop Abuse Campaign (SAC) decided to migrate to a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This represented a significant data migration effort, requiring all donor data to be reviewed, cleaned, and successfully imported into the new CRM tool before its “go-live” date.

Because the existing donor data had been configured to the specifications of the old system, it required significant processing to meet the new CRM’s requirements. SAC needed a partner to ensure a smooth, accurate transition without disrupting operations or donor engagement.

Solutions Delivered

  • First, Impactful Insights conducted a thorough cleanup of the existing donor data, addressing inconsistencies, applying formatting standards, removing duplicates, and eliminating unnecessary fields.

  • Once the data was cleaned, we configured the dataset to meet the technical specifications of the new CRM system, including the creation of custom fields where needed.

  • Throughout the process, we provided support and expertise to both SAC and the CRM implementation teams, helping ensure a smooth migration and setting SAC up for long-term success with their new system.
